Matthew Rushworth
University of Oxford
Matthew Rushworth is a world-leading expert on computational approaches to social cognition. He pioneered this work in 2008 with his seminal paper “Associative learning of social value”, which has over 1150 citations. His research spans psychology, neuroscience and ecology. Professor Rushworth is Watts Chair and Professor of Cognitive Neuroscience as well as Head of Department for Experimental Psychology.

Diana Tamir
Princeton University
Diana Tamir is a world-leading expert in mental models of social cognition. She studies the thoughts, cognitive processes, and behaviours that occur at the place where our internal world meets the external social world. She employs methods including functional neuroimaging, machine learning, and behavioural experiments to gain empirical insights into questions about the self and the social world.

David Amodio
University of Amsterdam
David Amodio is a world-leading expert on reinforcement learning and the application of computational modelling to solve real world challenges. He studies the psychological processes involved in prejudice, impression formation, and social cognition, with a focus on the roles of learning and memory in how social biases are formed, expressed, regulated, and reduced. His current work examines the socio-cognitive mechanisms through which prejudice is transmitted between individuals and society, as well as the role of AI in propagating human social biases.
